A New Wave Of Investment Is Coming
Marbella continues to strengthen its position as Europe’s leading destination for high-end real estate. The first quarter of 2025 has seen a remarkable surge in luxury property investment, with €72 million allocated to construction and refurbishment projects—an impressive 34% increase compared to the same period last year.
This growth highlights the ongoing transformation of Marbella’s property landscape, where the demand for top-tier villas and state-of-the-art residences is at an all-time high. While Marbella has long been synonymous with luxury living, the latest figures confirm a new wave of investment, focused not only on building exceptional new homes but also on renovating iconic estates to the highest standards of modern design and comfort.
Welcoming New Exclusive Projects
According to Marbella’s urban planning department, building permits have also risen, with 427 granted in just three months, compared to 400 in the same period of 2024. These figures illustrate the growing appeal of the region for both developers and discerning international buyers seeking quality, exclusivity, and lifestyle.
New projects have also been approved, including three single-family residences and a 1,500-square-metre retail development in Nueva Andalucía’s La Campana district. Together, these projects represent an additional €5.4 million in private investment, further underscoring Marbella’s dynamic growth.
Despite working under urban planning regulations dating back to 1986, the town hall has streamlined processes to meet the growing demand, paving the way for the implementation of a new municipal development plan later this year. This forward-thinking approach is ensuring Marbella remains ahead of the curve in attracting world-class investment.
At 3SA, we are witnessing this transformation first-hand. The surge in demand for prime residences and exclusive villas is reinforcing the market, creating unparalleled opportunities for both investors and buyers. Marbella is not just maintaining its reputation as a global luxury hub—it is elevating it.
